MS150 Rookie Rider Expo
Looks like we have some interest in this event. Possible meeting places are the Westmont Patco train station or Haddonfield. Then we could all ride to Philly together. The event is on August 22nd in the evening after work. Any one interested please add a note! THanks, Karin

OCSJ ICON Passes out on Ride
Some of us know Maggie from riding with the Outdoors Club. She had just completed a Ladies Duathlon in PA this past Sunday and has been training for the Duathlon scheduled for this Sat in Medford. Maggie is 70/71 years old and I know I speak for the group wishing her a speedy recovery. I've left a message with Herb (her husband) and have asked for updates once they catch their breath and get settled.....

Here is the post from the DRides group of OCSJ:
Maggie was riding with the south jersey outdoor club this morning and passed out in Marlton Lakes about a mile or so from the end of the ride. She was banged up pretty well on her left side but I think she'll recover quickly due to her excellent physical conditioning. She was taken to Mt. Holly hospital still disoriented, she was out for less than 5 minutes. She forgot her helmet and went back for it at the beginning of the ride, turns out it was a great decision! Also the first car to stop had an off duty police officer and a nurse! Angels watching over her. Ride Safely. Evelyn

Sunday Rides
So here is the deal. I just finished the route. We will meet at 7:30 at Freedom Park and be on the road no later than 8am. This is on Union Street across from the Court House/Police Station. At the light on Main Street turn on to Union Street and the park is about 1/2 mile on the Left.
The route is 68 miles and there is a point where anyone not wanting to do the entire ride can ride 2 miles back to the start and have a 30 mile ride. The food and restrooms are not in the same place so Cath, if Mike wants to SAG, he can meet us at the rest room stops with food. It will make things more efficient. If we do this, everyone is responsible for purchasing their own food and drinks and bringing it on Sunday morning to give to Mike. It would also make things great if someone can donate a large cooler and ice for the day so we can have cold drinks. Let me know if you can do this. for those who need to know the rest room stops are at 22 and 41 miles. There is also be an emergency stop at 57 miles at a gas station if we need it.
It will be hot on Sunday. Bring sun screen and remember to bring enough liquid and drink it. Wine and beer do not count as a liquid during the ride, but may be classified as a recovery drink afterwards. We'll let our experts decide that one. Please let me know if you are coming so we know to wait for you. See you on Sunday!
